How to find us

Morayvia's Science and Technology Experience Project (STEP) is a project to bring together a number of disciplines from aerospace and astronomy to technology and arts-related activities into a single centre of excellence in Moray, but serving the northeast of Scotland, the Highlands and beyond.

Morayvia (Registered Charity SC042895)

Planetarium

Our planetarium was purchased through financial support from the Gordon and Ena Baxter Foundation. Providing a wrap-around projection it can be used for many different applications. Examples include science and arts-related films. We currently have a number of space and astronomy related showings where visitors can learn about the stars and planets in an exciting way.

Shows run throughout the Centre’s opening times and a small additional surcharge (currently £2 pp).

A number of schools and clubs have already visited this facility. We have future plans for evening shows for astronomy or general science-related activities.

Mobile Planetarium

Although a ‘mobile’ planetarium it does however require a minimum floor area measuring 9m x 9m x 4.6m high, plus external power and is for indoor use only.

Some of the shows have been generously donated by the British Fulldome Institute. British Full Dome Institute Logo
