Queens Award for Voluntary Service 2018

We are honoured and delighted to announce that Morayvia has been awarded the Queens Award for Voluntary Service in recognition of our work in our local community.

It was created in 2002 to celebrate the anniversary of The Queen’s coronation. It is the MBE for volunteer groups.

It’s the people

This nationally recognised award could not have been won without the hard work and dedication of all our volunteers and business supporters. The announcement of our award was made to volunteers and members by the Lord Leutenant of Moray, Grenville Johnston. Chairman Mark Mair said of the award; “This is another important milestone in the journey Morayvia has taken so far, and is an incredible award to be given which recognises what we do at Morayvia. Without our volunteers, and the business support we get from Moray and beyond none of our achievements to date would have been possible. It is really important that our dedicated group is recognised, as without them, Morayvia would not exist. Its the people that make it.”

This award is our second award this year, having recently discovered that we have retained our TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for the second year running.

  • Apart from the national recognition, the Award includes:
  • An invitation to a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace;
  • A signed certificate from Her Majesty The Queen – presented locally by the Lord Lieutenant;
  • An English Crystal with the logo insignia;
  • Permission to use the official QAVS Logo
