SCO Family Day at Morayvia

In June we hosted an SCO Family Day at Morayvia which offered our visitors the chance to try out some instruments with instruction from the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. The day also saw SCO Orchestra members playing their instruments in some rather different surroundings, including inside the Sea King, outside amongst the aircraft, and also inside the centre. This event was part of SCO’s Creative Learning program, which is an initiative to inspire and support creativity in Scotland’s communities.

Whilst having musical accompaniment to touring the centre and exhibits is a new event for Morayvia, this is just one of a number of events we try to host throughout the year as part of new experiences for our visitors.

Entry fees and the fees for taking part in the event were shared between SCO and Morayvia, and will help both organisations to continue delivering their goals in the future. The day was a great success, and we look forward to working with SCO again!

If you are interested in knowing what other events we have organised, keep an eye on our Facebook page, and here on the website for announcements.
